Annual Poetry Writing Weekend Workshop directed by Caitríona Ni Chléircín

This course is suitable for beginners and those who have been writing for some time.
Participants are encouraged to send a sample of their work before the workshop. Work in both the English and Irish language will be welcome.
The workshop will cover the following topics: Reading a poem, the rhythmical expression of memory, emotion, the experience of the body and dreams, women’s writing,
The relationship between language and emotion, the relationship with landscape, the feeling for place, place names, the memory, folklore and history attached to place as well as the dual language tradition. Experimental Poetry is welcomed and inspiration, creativity, editing, getting published and translation will be discussed.
